We are pleased to inform you that we have now completed the installation of our 2 community access defibrillators (CAD) which are registered with the emergency services.
What is a Defibrillator and what’s it for??
An automated external defibrillator (AED) enables people with minimal experience to give lifesaving emergency treatment to a person suffering from a cardiac arrest.
If someone is having a heart attack or goes into cardiac arrest, phoning 999 will advise where the nearest defibrillator is and the code on how to access it. The defibrillators are automated and instructions on how to use it are clear..
Having a CAD means that it is accessible 24 hours a day and can be used by the local community as well as members and visitors to the club.
